This pillow actually does help my reflux! I used to wake up exhausted (from constantly being woken up due to choking/refluxing all night), and the fluid from refluxing would run up into my sinuses when I'd sleep on a regular pillow. But this pillow does help keep that from happening.I do find that I have more energy and no bags under my eyes now. Also, even though I did have a little hip pain at first with this pillow, I was also pregnant at the time; once I delivered I find the hip pain has gone away and--a happy side effect--have WAY less trouble with my sciatic and piriformis muscle pain because this pillow gently pulls upward on those areas while I sleep on my side.
